“Georgetown has one of the most inclusive and friendly cultures I’ve ever seen at a college. When I came on campus as a high school senior I was shocked at how quickly I was accepted. You have direct access to: enough nature to spend a lifetime exploring (and the resources free to do it through backpacking, skiing, canoeing etc.), fantastic and genuinely caring professors, brilliant students from all over the country and world, beautiful athletic facilities, and consistently solid food through the college services and local dining. There are social, religious, therapeutic, and technological resources to ensure you feel well-connected within the college, and tons of work and volunteer opportunities to get involved outside the Purple Bubble in the surrounding area.” -Sherpa Mack, Williams College

Hoyas want to see their peers succeed just as much as themselves.” -Sherpa Anthony, Georgetown University

“Many people are scared of the academic rigor at Yale, but they underestimate the amount of student support. In addition to countless academic and transitional advisors for freshmen, there are so many ways to get free tutoring from certified students in the subject you’re struggling with-peer tutors, residential college tutors, TAs, and specialized programs like the Writing Center. Also (unrelated), the dining halls close at 7 for dinner but you get used to it in the first two weeks and learn to make great use of the school-subsidized snacking areas known as ‘butteries.'” -Sherpa Varsha, Yale University

Also, if you major in French at Hopkins, you get a certificate from the French government that recognizes you for speaking French fluently; there are only one or two other schools in the country where you can do this.” -Sherpa Michael, Johns Hopkins University
